What changed

  • Treat truncated or malformed Codex SSE metadata/terminal frames as recoverable when visible assistant output already exists.
  • Preserve a visible answer when the stream ends without a parseable response.completed envelope.
  • Guard message-thinking so provider metadata cannot be treated as a message record.
  • Bump the repository version from 0.7.0 to 0.7.1.

Verification

  • macOS: make binary passed.
  • macOS: real PTY --tui run displayed jcode 0.7.1, received Hi! What can I help you with?, and produced no crash exception.
  • FreeBSD: gmake binary passed.
  • FreeBSD: real PTY --tui run displayed jcode 0.7.1, received Hi! What can I help you with?, and produced no crash exception.
  • make test reached the TUI visual rendering smoke test successfully. One unrelated existing sandbox regression remains: enabled sandbox runs an allowed command.
