Fixes clean-checkout service test execution and keeps every release-visible version source synchronized with VERSION.

Validation:

  • make test: 835 unit checks, 18 service checks, and 9 launcher checks passed.
  • make binary: completed; bj, bj-hostd, bj-serviced, bj-release-worker, and bj-git-transport report 0.5.3.
  • Final APK fixture: 141 UI actions, 70 API/state assertions, and 24 screenshots passed for SHA-256 023104f79440376a3907aa44fbe3b18ba1ec5bca69be89536c7ab58b0f67c2d0.
