jerboa-shell-extras

Optional feature bundles for jerboa-shell. The base shell stays a compact Bash replacement: ordinary make, make binary, and make jsh builds in jerboa-shell do not fetch or enable this repository.

From a jerboa-shell checkout, run:

make extras

That command fetches this repository, opens an interactive feature menu, fetches the external Jerboa package set, and builds the enhanced shell as jsh-extras in the jerboa-shell checkout. Use Space to toggle an item, a for all, n for none, and Enter to save the selection and build. The target initializes an empty local embed/ directory when no embed input has been supplied.

The available groups are declared in features.def and currently cover built-in coreutils, mux, encrypted embed/pass/vault storage, SSH, YubiKey, AWS, wormhole, recording, sandbox/cage/resource limits, profiling, SOCKS5 proxying, WireGuard, process watching, hardening, AWK, and sed.

Non-interactive configuration is also supported:

make features-minimal
JSH_FEATURES=aws,ssh make binary
make show-features

JSH_FEATURES takes precedence over features.conf. Feature dependencies are expanded automatically; for example, selecting pass also enables embed.
